Introduction to electrode structure of intermediate frequency spot welding machine

The electrode of the intermediate frequency spot welding machine is used for conductivity and pressure transmission, so it should have good mechanical properties and conductivity. Most electrode clamps have a structure that can provide cooling water to the electrodes, and some even have a top cone mechanism for easy disassembly of the electrodes.

When using special electrodes, the conical part of the chuck needs to withstand a considerable amount of torque. To avoid deformation and loose fit of the conical seat, the wall thickness of the conical end face shall not be less than 5mm. If necessary, electrode clamps with thickened ends can be used. In order to adapt to spot welding of special shaped workpieces, it is necessary to design electrode clamps with special shapes.

The electrode and electrode clamp are often connected by a cone, with a taper of 1:10. In individual cases, threaded connections are also used. When disassembling the electrode, only special tools or pliers can be used to rotate the electrode and remove it, rather than using left and right tapping methods to avoid damaging the conical seat, causing poor contact or water leakage.
