2. The strength of solder joints always decreases as the welding pressure increases. The solution is to increase the welding pressure. Generally, when the diameter of the electrode end face of the spot welding machine is constant, the resistance of the workpiece depends on its resistivity.

3. Metals with high resistivity have poor electrical conductivity (such as stainless steel) and metals with low resistivity have good electrical conductivity (such as aluminum alloys).

In this way, the resistivity not only depends on the type of metal, but also on the heat treatment state, processing method and temperature of the metal. Such electrode pressure has a significant impact on the total resistance R between the two electrodes. As the electrode pressure increases, R decreases significantly, but the increase in welding current is not large. It cannot affect the resistance caused by the decrease in R. Heat production is reduced. Therefore, the strength of welding joints in medium-frequency spot welding machines always decreases as the welding pressure increases. The solution is to increase the welding current while increasing the welding pressure.
