Over the past weekend, the core team of Suzhou Agera Automation gathered at Sunshine Peninsula Hotel in Zhangjiagang for a two day strategic planning retreat.
The conference was built around the theme: “People Build the Foundation, Action Builds the Future.” At the opening session, General Manager Deng offered his interpretation of this theme. “People Build the Foundation” means that a company’s stability ultimately rests on its people and the strength of its teams. This calls for a honest review of our first half performance while continuously reinforcing the fundamentals — our teams, our talent, and our technology. “Action Builds the Future” points to the other side of the equation: achieving lasting success requires down to earth execution and real results. This sets the direction for the second half of the year — focused, determined, and practical.
The agenda then moved into a series of operational reviews. Departments including Finance, Sales, Projects, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Production each presented a systematic recap of their firsthalf performance. Teams examined their goal achievement in depth and carefully mapped out key tasks for the second half. Two senior consultants participated throughout the sessions, offering constructive guidance and fresh perspectives to each department.
The core of the conference was a full day and a half of deep dive discussions around five critical themes:
Survival and growth
Cost reduction and efficiency improvement
Customer centricity
Leadership and execution
Learning and development
The atmosphere was energetic. Participants shared ideas openly, analysed key challenges with real depth, and engaged in spirited debates. Each group presented their findings to the wider team. A particularly memorable moment came during the “Dream Sharing” session, where new employees spoke about their personal growth since joining Agera, the changes they have experienced, and their aspirations for the future — it was a genuine display of the energy and hope within our younger team members. The discussions ran long; even at 10 PM on Saturday, the meeting room was still buzzing with lively exchanges.
At the conclusion of the sessions, consultant Wang offered high praise for the team’s focus, depth of thinking, and cohesion throughout the conference. Drawing on his observations and diagnostic work over the two days, he delivered a professional presentation on “The Critical Transition Path for Agera Automation to Achieve Leapfrog Growth” — a thought provoking talk that gave the team plenty to reflect on.
General Manager Deng closed the conference with a concluding address. He reaffirmed the vision that drives Agera forward, and made it clear: as long as we shift our mindset, bring in talented people, find the right methods, stay entrepreneurial, and commit to moving forward with determination — the shared dream of every Agera team member can and will become reality.
This strategic conference was more than a summary of past work. It was a moment to align our vision, sharpen our strategy, and renew our collective commitment. It reinforced the core belief that people come first, and action follows. For the next stage of Agera’s growth, this conference has unified our thinking, clarified our direction, and injected fresh momentum into the hard work that lies ahead.
