The electrode head of the medium frequency spot welding machine must be kept clean. After a certain period of use, if the electrode shows wear or surface damage, it can be repaired using copper wire brushes, high-quality fine files, or sandpaper. The specific method is as follows:
Place the fine file flat between the upper and lower electrodes.
Set the function selector knob to the “air valve” position.
Press the foot pedal switch to the bottom to clamp the file with the electrodes.
Rotate the file back and forth horizontally between the electrodes until the contact surface between the two electrodes is flat.
Release the foot pedal to reset the upper electrode.
Use fine sandpaper to smooth the contact surface of the electrode, ensuring good contact with the workpiece.
When the electrode wear is severe, machine tools and other equipment must be used for repair.
