When using a capacitor energy storage spot welding machine, you may encounter some common problems. How should you deal with these issues when they arise? Here are some troubleshooting methods to help you navigate through these problems more effectively!
After powering on, the power indicator light on the control panel does not turn on.
Cause: Emergency stop switch is locked.
Solution: Unlock the switch.
After powering on, the energy storage indicator light on the panel does not turn on, and the abnormal indicator light is flashing. There is no charging voltage.
Cause: Charging fuse in the control box is blown.
Solution: Replace the fuse (380V/30A fuse).
After pressing the “on” switch, the welding machine automatically shuts off after a few seconds, and the fault persists after restarting.
Cause: 1. Charging thyristor breakdown. 2. Circuit board malfunction.
Solution: Replace.
The equipment’s voltage cannot reach the set value.
Cause: 1. Capacitor breakdown. 2. Discharge thyristor breakdown. 3. Protection diode breakdown.
Solution: Replace.
Sparking and splashing occur when the electrode contacts the workpiece.
Cause: Pre-press frequency is too short.
Solution: Increase the pre-press frequency.
