Precautions for Energy Storage Welding Machines


Energy storage welding machines consist of mechanical and electrical components, with circuit control being the core part of resistance welding technology. This technology is widely used in the welding field and has become the mainstream of welding equipment control system development. Nowadays, energy storage welding machines are widely used in welding low carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and alloys. However, users may still encounter some problems during use. Today, let’s talk about the precautions for energy storage spot welding machines before and during welding.

Before operating the energy storage welding machine, ensure that the oil stains and dirt on the upper and lower electrodes are cleaned thoroughly. Carefully inspect whether there is any leakage in electrical equipment, operating mechanisms, cooling systems, gas systems, and the machine casing.

Before starting the energy storage welding machine, turn on the control circuit changeover switch and the welding current switch, set the gate knife position for the number of poles adjustment switch, connect the water and gas sources, and adjust the knobs on the control box.

Since environmental temperature has a significant impact on welding operations, ensure that the ambient temperature is not lower than 15°C.

During the welding process of the energy storage welding machine, ensure that the gas circuit and water cooling system are unobstructed. The gas should not contain moisture, and the drainage temperature should meet the standard.

Pay attention to tightening the working stroke adjustment nut of the upper electrode and adjust the electrode air pressure according to the requirements of the welding specifications.

Do not increase the fuse in the ignition circuit to prevent damage to the ignition tube and silicon rectifier. When the load is too small and the arc cannot occur in the ignition tube, it is strictly forbidden to close the ignition circuit of the control box.

After the energy storage welding machine has finished its work, first cut off the power and gas sources, and then close the water source. Clean up debris and welding splatter.
