The influence of welding time of IF spot welding machine has obvious influence on the total resistance between two electrodes. With the increase of electrode pressure, R decreases significantly, but the increase of welding current is not large, which cannot affect the reduction of heat generation caused by R reduction. The strength of welding spot always decreases with the increase of welding pressure.
In order to ensure the size of the molten core and the strength of the welding spot, the welding time and welding current can complement each other within a certain range. In order to obtain welding spot with certain strength, high current short time (strong condition, also called hard specification) can be adopted, and low current long time (weak condition, also called soft specification) can also be adopted for high temperature fan.
The current and time required for metals of different nature and thickness have upper and lower limits, which shall prevail when used.
